Precision straightening for linear guides and cursors
Linear guides (profile rail guides, guideway) and cursors require a straightening process using machines designed for profiles, called Twin. Twin straightener includes two functions in only one machine, hence its name:
Longitudinal straightening
Twist measurement and correction, common with linear guides and cursors
Horizontal force application is used to guarantee that the workpiece could move freely during straightening, an essential condition for accuracy, repeatability and cycle time. Firstly, the workpiece is measured using a contactless Laser System, this operation is performed in a few seconds over the entire length of the workpiece. This operation allow to work with the straightener only where deformation is located.
Machine size depends on the section and length of parts. In order to guarantee a great productivity, linear guides can be loaded/unloaded by portal systems or others according to customer plant layout requirements or to the production flow to be followed.
