SMS Maschinenbau GmbH focus on all kinds of thread grinding machines’s development and manufacture, SMS integrated Reishauer’s business of thread grinding machines in 2005. As early as 1995, the founders of SMS Maschinenbau GmbH,recognized the far-reaching trend for the implementation of control technology for machine tools. The company was one of the first to equip existing (mechanical) thread grinding machines with cutting-edge CNC technology at attractive prices. The basic machines – principally those manufactured by Reishauer and Klingelnberg – were reconditioned and modernized (CNC-retrofi t).Today, the company has a further focus on development and manufacturing its own thread grinding machines. SMS Maschinenbau GmbH has accumulated extensive expertise and is oriented towards current trends SMS offers a machine solution for virtually, every customer requirement regarding the production of high-precision threads.
