本机床是在X57—3铣床的基础上精心改进而成，纵向、横向、垂向及主传动均为齿轮传动，即可手动，亦可机动，扭矩传递好，加工效率高。主轴采用集中润滑，自动冷却。床身导轨、主要轴类及齿轮均采用优质材料并经淬火处理，强度高，有良好的耐磨能力。主要零部件均经精密加工，精度高，因此本机床是一种小型通用*铣床，适合于圆片铣刀、角度铣刀、成型铣刀及端面铣刀。结构轻巧灵活，操作简单，安装相应附件，可进行立铣、卧铣等多种加工，可加工平面、沟槽、角度、以及花键、齿轮等零件，适用于各种企业，特别是工具、模具、卡具及仪器仪表、缝纫机和自行车零配件行业的加工制造。
