南通第二机床有限公司成立于1965年，为全国较早的四大平面磨床生产基地之一，是中国机床工具工业协会磨床分会理事单位，直接参与磨床各项技术标准的制定和执行。

    Set up in 1965, was one of the four earliest surface grinder building bases in China, the member of the grinders branch to China Machine Tool industrial Association, directily joined in making and executing the grinding technical standards and documents.

    Since 1991, it has been cooperating with Germany G&H and Spanish GER in building FS precision surface grinders with horizontal spindle and rectangular table, and leading the international advanced level in this field.

    Its products have been finding a good sale to the Europe, America and Southeast Asia., Just in Europe it owned over 40 percent of surface grinding market occupation which is still being raised up. It makes a wide assortment of surface grinders with good quality, such as the common, the precision or the super precision grinders of mechanical, PLC controlled, or numerical controlled types with hydraulic operating system.
