动力头是一种能实现主轴旋转运动和进给运动，并且有自动工件循环的动力部件。比较简单的一个变速传动机构，形式多种多样，基本原理就是电机驱动主转旋转，油压/气压/伺服驱动主轴前进、后退，可以实现镗削、铣削、钻削等功能，还可以配合油压/气压/伺服滑台进行长距离的移动。
